A survey conducted by the LifeWay Research Institute revealed: 3 in 4 pastors know family, friends, or church members who’ve experienced sexual or domestic violence. 83% of pastors opt for outside intervention to resolve acts of DV and sexual violence that occur within the home. However, Only 16% of pastors are familiar with local resources that address domestic and sexual violence. 8 in 10 pastors would take action to reduce domestic and sexual violence if they had training and resources. We provide clergy training through the Interfaith Domestic Violence Network (IDVN), a partnership with the Alameda County Family Justice Center and Triumph Educational Center.

The mission of the IDVN is to inform, equip, empower and support the faith community in Alameda
County for the prevention and intervention of domestic violence. We provide therapeutic counseling and spiritual support to victims of DV and refer them to our network of Churches, Temples, Mosques, Synagogues, and other spiritual meeting places, to ensure continued spiritual support.
