Will provides TRAINING FOR THE BATTERER INTERVENTION PROVIDERS AND FACILITATORS IN ALAMEDA COUNTY, faith leaders, and others working with aggressors of DV. He currently provides domestic violence training for the faith community through a partnership with the ALAMEDA COUNTY FAMILY JUSTICE CENTER. The goal is to inform, equip, empower, and support the faith community for the prevention and intervention of domestic violence. Will provides technical assistance to faith leaders that enables them to recognize abusive behaviors and/or the effects of abusive behaviors, provide appropriate guidance to victims of abuse, hold abusers accountable, and develop a Domestic Violence policy for their church.
Will assists staff and volunteers from various organizations in becoming domestic violence-aware and in developing the skills and competencies necessary to influence behavioral change. He is a servant leader assisting the efforts of the Alameda County Probation Department, the Family Violence Council of Alameda County, the Alameda County Family Justice Center, and the San Leandro Domestic Violence Task Force, working to improve the care of those victimized by domestic violence, enforcement of domestic violence laws, and education and treatment for perpetrators of domestic violence.
